This year our Fall Farm tour will be held on November 4th (Sunday) afternoon. We'll be doing a tailgate training in conjunction with the Alabama Sustainable Ag Network beginning at 2 pm CST, talking about low-input pecans and honey production. Then at 3 pm CST our walking tour begins. We'll briefly talk about the different working components of the farm - the pecans, the recreational lake, the bees, the laying hens, the grass-fed beef herd, the dairy, the creamery and the commercial kitchen. When the walking tour is over we will meet at the nut house for a covered dish supper on the grounds for anyone who wants to stay. You can come for any of the sessions or all of them.
It is necessary that you let us know if you plan to come and how many will be in your party. There is no charge for the event.
Wear walking shoes (we will cover some ground, and a lot of it is very uneven) and bring folding chairs if you can. If you plan to stay for supper, please bring a dish to share.
Check out what visitors from Los Angeles discovered when they visited Pecan Point Farm last fall! There is a tour of the farm, complete with drone-furnished aerial footage, starting at 3:45 in the video.
